Who we are

Gamelab, the International Market of Videogames and Interactive Leisure Activities, is the reference event in Spanish industry, the official appointment for videogame pros and companies in Spain. A meeting point for business and exchange of ideas that in the last few years has also turned into the main communication platform between the industry and the general audiences, the media, public administration and academic institutions.

Gamelab is one of the mandatory appointments in the international event calendar in the industry, and it takes on the prominence and representation not only of the Spanish market but also of emerging Latin-American and Spanish-speaking markets. Gamelab list of speakers has included the most important international professionals in the industry, such as Ian Livingston (who created Tomb Raider and Lara Croft), Bryan Neider (one of the highest executives at EA Games) and Richard Bartle (pioneer of Virtual Worlds). This year we will also count on the attendance of international creatives such as Cliff Bleszinski (Epic Games), American McGee (Spicy horse games) Trip Hawkins (Digital Chocolate) or Louis Castle (Studios at Zynga) and national names such as Xavier Carrillo (Digital Legends), Gonzo Suárez (Comandos franchise), Enric Alvarez (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow) and Daniel Sánchez-Crespo (Invizimals).

Gamelab also serves as yearly showcase for the Spanish production and is the meeting point of the industry with the outer world, attracting every year the attendance of international investors, editors and distributors and catching the attention of the main specialised media at an European and worldwide level.

As a complement to the main sections, the event promotes cultural and social activities in the market facilities, such as art and interactive exhibitions, and houses the celebration of the Gamelab National Awards to Videogame Industrym which this year will be voted by the members of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Interactivas (Academy of Interactive Arts and Science).
